Hi, I’m Natalie.

Years ago, while living in Georgia, I was introduced to something that immediately caught my attention—not just mahjong, but the community surrounding it. Everywhere I looked, women were gathering around tables, building friendships, creating traditions, and making time for one another. There was something special about it, and I found myself drawn to the sense of connection it created.

Years later, I finally learned to play myself.

Like so many others, I quickly fell in love with the beautiful tiles, the strategy, and the challenge of the game. But what I loved most was what had first captured my attention years before: the people.

As a mom of four, life is wonderfully full. Yet some of my favorite moments are the evenings spent around a mahjong table after bedtime—connecting with friends, sharing stories, laughing together, and being part of a community that extends far beyond the game itself.

As my love for mahjong grew, so did a simple idea: what if there were a place built specifically for this community? A place where players could connect, organize games, track their progress, and continue building the friendships that make mahjong so special.

That idea became Bird Bam.
